1972Founded as Chiyoda-Dames & Moore Co., Ltd. by the parent companies Chiyoda Corporation of Japan and Dames & Moore of the United States Began environmental assessment services for the construction of petroleum storage facilities, etc.
1974Began contracted research and studies on waste and recycling
1976Began contracted soil, groundwater, and substructure studies associated with overseas plant construction
1977Began contracted diffusion simulations and other services in marine areas
Began contracted services concerning chemical substances and health
1978Began undertaking Official Development Assistance (ODA) projects
Began contracted research and studies on fisheries resources
1979Began contracted terrestrial ecosystem studies for power plant sites
1982Began environmental due diligence services
Began soil and groundwater remediation services
Began contracted wind studies for wind power generation

Became a consolidated subsidiary of Dowa Mining Co., Ltd. (currently DOWA ECO-SYSTEM CO., LTD.)
2003Began services supporting responses to global warming, including studies of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), Joint Implementation (JI), and others
Began environmental adviser services for private banks based on the Equator Principles
Received designation as a Designated Investigation Institution based on the Soil Contamination Countermeasures Act (Ministry of the Environment)
2006Moved head office to the UDX Building
2010Began environmental and social consideration assessment services relating to renewable energy
Began environmental and social consideration assessment services for geothermal power generation projects
2012Began due diligence services for solar power projects in line with the Feed-in Tariff scheme for renewable energy
Began radiation monitoring services for local governments
Began environmental assessments and other services associated with offshore wind power generation
Received Eco-Action 21 certification and registration
2014Began Doppler lidar-based wind power observation services for offshore wind power
2015Entered into a partnership with Ramboll Environment of Denmark (currently Ramboll)
Established the Akita Ocean Environment Association (a partnership with two companies in Akita Prefecture)
2018Business alliance with Japan Credit Rating Agency, Ltd. (JCR) (relating to sustainable finance)
2020Business alliance with Xodus of the United Kingdom (relating to offshore wind power)
Business alliance with RPS of the United Kingdom (relating to offshore wind power)
